The Kleine Müritz is the southern bay of the Müritz in the Mecklenburg Lake District of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The Kleine Müritz is relatively flat, watercraft can only operate in the fairway. The Burgwall island is located in the Kleine Müritz. The landing stages are at the Kleine Müritz in Rechlin at the Müritz-Segelverein Rechlin eV and the yacht harbor Rechlin. The Müritz-Havel waterway branches off from the Kleine Müritz to Mirow . At the extreme end of the Müritzarm south of Priborn, the Elde flows into the Kleine Müritz.

The area of ​​the lake formed during the recent ice age, the Vistula Glacial , is 3 km². The backwaters are the Mövensee, Sumpfsee, the Müritzarm in the south (a very narrow section of the lake through which the Elde flows) near Priborn with the Müritzsee .
