Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development is a member of the European Commission . The department has existed since 1958, i.e. since the European Economic Community was founded . The current incumbent on the Von der Leyen Commission since December 2019 is Janusz Wojciechowski . The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development .
