Korytárky is a municipality in the middle of Slovakia with 963 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019), which is located in Okres Detva , part of Banskobystrický kraj .

geography

The municipality is located in the far east of the Zvolenská kotlina basin below the Veporské vrchy mountains on the upper reaches of the Slatina . The town center is at an altitude of 440  m nm and is nine kilometers from Detva and 30 kilometers from Zvolen .

Neighboring municipalities are Hriňová in the north and northeast, Podkriváň in the east, Kriváň in the south and Detva in the west.

history

The community as such was only created on January 1, 1993 by splitting off from the neighboring community Kriváň and was again part of Detva until 1955 and belonged to the so-called hamlets (Slovak regional lazy ) of Detva.

The area became more populated during the Wallachian colonization in the 16th and 17th centuries. The rest of the story until 1955 is largely identical to that of Detva.

population

According to the 2011 census, Korytárky had 976 inhabitants, 956 of whom were Slovaks, four Czechs and one each Polish and Ukrainian; one resident belonged to a different ethnic group. 13 residents gave no information in this regard. 892 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, nine residents to the Evangelical Church AB, four residents to the Reformed Church and one resident to the Evangelical Methodist Church; three residents professed a different denomination. 29 residents had no denomination and 38 residents had no denomination.
