The area Kreuzbühl is with Regulation of 12 December 1983 of the Regional Council Tübingen been instructed Nature Reserve (NSG number 4115) in the north of Württemberg Baden- town Meßkirch in the district of Sigmaringen in Germany .

location

The 4.32 hectare large nature reserve Kreuzbühl is one natural area to Hegau and Middle Flächenalb . It is located about four kilometers northwest of the city center of Meßkirch in the Rohrdorf district , at an average altitude of 691  m above sea level. NN .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the near-natural, species-rich biotope in the middle of the intensively used agricultural landscape. Its importance lies in the special ecological function and varied biotope design (hedges, bushes, meadows), which stand in contrast to the immediate surroundings.

Partner protected areas

The Kreuzbühl nature reserve is part of the " Obere Donau Nature Park ".

Flora and fauna

The variety of vegetation structures that has emerged over the years provides a habitat for numerous plant and animal species. So far, 190 plant species have been identified in the small protected area, including 29 different woody plants .
