The area target finger bird lake is one of the by ordinance of 15 May 1992 the Regional Council Tübingen been instructed Nature Reserve (NSG number 4202) in the southwest of Württemberg Baden- city levels and in the south of the community Sigmaringendorf in the district of Sigmaringen in Germany .
location
The 45 hectare large nature reserve target finger bird lake is one natural area to the Danube Ablach plates . It is located about 5.2 kilometers southwest of the city center in the Rulfingen district and 2.4 kilometers south of Sigmaringendorf, at an altitude of 571 m above sea level. NN .
description
Various species of divers and ducks cavort on the open, 33-hectare water area, and find both breeding grounds and feeding grounds in the silted areas with reed stocks. A multitude of other water birds look for food on the vegetation-free silt and gravel banks. An artificially created steep bank was accepted by the kingfisher as a nesting tube, as was a nesting raft by the common tern . In addition to the birds , amphibians , dragonflies and many aquatic insects can also be found in this man-made habitat.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the Zielfinger Baggersee as a breeding, feeding and resting biotope for numerous animal species, especially birds, and as a habitat for many plant species.

The nature reserve Zielfinger Vogelsee is part of the bird sanctuary " Baggerseen Krauchenwies / Zielfingen " (7921401).
