The Blauen area is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.046) in the north-west of the Baden-Württemberg city of Sigmaringen in the district of Sigmaringen in Germany, which was designated by ordinance of February 20, 1970 by the Tübingen regional council and expanded in 1984 .
description
The area of Blauen is described as "diverse vegetation on cement marl, which ranges from raw soil colonists to former sheep pastures to commercial forests."
location
The Blauen nature reserve, which is now 46.8 hectares in size , naturally belongs to the Middle Alb . It is located around five kilometers northwest of the center of Sigmaringen in the Jungnau district , north of the federal highway 463 , at an average altitude of 715 m above sea level. NN .
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the diverse vegetation on cement marl , which ranges from raw soil colonists to former sheep pastures to commercial forests, whereby the rich orchid flora requires special protection.
Partner protected areas
The reserve Blue bordered to the west by the conservation area " Danube and Schmeiental " (4.37.036) and is part of the " Nature Park Upper Danube ".
