The Landesjugendchor Schleswig-Holstein is a selected choir of young singers from Schleswig-Holstein .

It was founded in 1986 as the fifth national youth choir of a federal state. Michael Klaue was initially in charge of the company, and Matthias Janz has been in charge since the beginning of 1993 . The age of the members who have qualified for the choir by auditioning is between 15 and 25 years, in the male voices also up to about 28 years.

The Schleswig-Holstein State Youth Choir usually rehearses five weekends a year, mostly at the Nordkolleg in Rendsburg, and develops two concert programs that are performed at different locations in Schleswig-Holstein.

The repertoire of the state youth choir includes a cappella literature from all epochs, with instrumental accompaniment mainly early music from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The State Music Council is the sponsor of the State Youth Choir Schleswig-Holstein .
