Lee Jae-sung (born August 10, 1992 in Ulsan ), known in German-speaking countries by the name sequence Jae-Sung Lee , is a South Korean football player .

Career

society

In 2014, Lee joined the Korean first division team Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors from the Korea University team . He played his first game for this club in the 2014 AFC Champions League against Yokohama F. Marinos on February 26, 2014. During his time as a player for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, he won the South Korean Championship in 2014 , 2015 and 2017 . He also won the AFC Champions League in 2016 .

In July 2018 Lee moved to Holstein Kiel in the 2nd Bundesliga . He received a three-year contract until June 30, 2021. The transfer fee was between 900,000 and 1.5 million euros in the media. In his first game for Kiel, Lee was voted Player of the Day by the kicker sports magazine .

National team

Lee played in the Korean national team's U-23 for three years. He was exempted from military service by winning the team at the 2014 Asian Games .

In 2015, Lee moved to the first team. He made his debut on March 27, 2015 in a friendly against the Uzbek national soccer team . Lee made his competitive debut four days later against the New Zealand national soccer team . There he was nominated for the 2018 World Cup and played in all three national team games.
