Aleksandar Ignjovski ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александар Игњовски , born January 27, 1991 in Pančevo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with Holstein Kiel . He is also a Serbian national player.
career
In the club
OFK Belgrade
At the age of seven, Aleksandar Ignjovski began playing football at OFK Belgrade . There he initially played as a left-back , later he moved into defensive midfield. He went through the entire youth department of the OFK before he was appointed to the first team in 2008. In the 2008/09 season he was used 23 times in the first division and scored three goals.
TSV 1860 Munich
In the summer of 2009 Ignjovski switched to the German second division club TSV 1860 Munich on loan for two years . In his first season in Munich he came on 30 missions. In the second year it was set back from injuries several times, it was used 23 times. In the two years he prepared a total of seven goals. He was also used four times in the DFB Cup . In spring 2011, due to financial bottlenecks, the club let the deadline for a previously agreed purchase option pass, so Ignjovski left the Munich Lions again in summer 2011.
Werder Bremen
On August 4, 2011, SV Werder Bremen announced the commitment of Ignjovski. Ignjovski signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2014. The parties agreed not to disclose any further details.
Initially intended as a plan for the future, he represented the injured left-back Lukas Schmitz on September 10, 2011 (5th match day) in the derby against HSV for over 90 minutes in a Werder jersey. In the period that followed, "Iggi", as he is called by Werder fans, was part of the Hanseatic family. On March 9, 2013 (25th matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the away game against Borussia Mönchengladbach , he also scored his first Bundesliga goal with the goal in the 77th minute.
Eintracht Frankfurt
On April 3, 2014 it was announced that Ignjovski will be transferring to Eintracht Frankfurt on July 1, 2014 for free . He received a three-year contract.
Sc freiburg
For the 2016/17 season Ignjovski moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga SC Freiburg . After Ignjovski had made 19 Bundesliga appearances in his first season in Freiburg and finished 7th in the table with the club at the end of the season, he made his only competitive appearance at the start of the season with a 2-0 defeat in the qualification for the 2017/18 season Europa League against NK Domžale .
1. FC Magdeburg
After two years he left the sport club and joined to the season 2018/19 the 1. FC Magdeburg on that just in the 2. Bundesliga had risen; at the end of the season, however, the immediate relegation for the FCM followed .
Holstein Kiel
For the 2019/20 season Ignjovski moved to the second division Holstein Kiel , with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2021.
National team
Ignjovski has been part of the FSS junior national teams since the U16 , so far he has played 15 times for Serbia and has scored one goal. With the U17 he took part in the European Championship in Turkey in 2008 , where he and his team were eliminated after the preliminary round. With the U19 he was able to qualify for the 2009 European Championships in Ukraine , where the Serbian selection failed in the semifinals at the eventual European champions Ukraine. On February 28, 2012 he came in a test international match against the selection of Armenia for his first A international match for Serbia.
