society
Originally from Kiel, Reese played for Holstein Kiel in his youth . The last season for Holstein he played in the club's B youth team and played 15 games in the U17 Bundesliga season 2012/13 . In the summer of 2013, Reese moved to the youth training center of FC Schalke 04 . As part of the U17s there, he played 26 games in his first season in the B-Jugend-Bundesliga. For the 2014/15 season , the attacker was used in the A youth. With Schalke 04 he played a total of 44 games in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga over the next two years and scored 20 goals. His successes include winning the Season West in the 2014/15 season and then winning the A Junior Championship in 2015.
Still playing in the U19 team, Reese made his Bundesliga debut for Schalke's first team on November 21, 2015 . In the 1: 3 home defeat against FC Bayern Munich , Max Meyer came on as a substitute. Reese was 17 years and 357 days old at the time, making Schalkes the ninth-youngest player in the Bundesliga. In February 2016, the striker signed a professional contract with Schalke until 2019.
For the 2016/17 season , Reese also switched to the professional division of FC Schalke 04, but was also used in the U23 of the club, for which he made his debut in the Regionalliga West on August 27, 2016 in the game against TSG Sprockhövel . There he scored his first league goal. He made his first appearance as a professional in the first team a few days earlier in the DFB Cup game against FC 08 Villingen .
In the 2-0 victory of FC Schalke 04 against OGC Nice on November 24, 2016, Reese made his international debut in the Europa League. He was substituted on for Max Meyer at halftime . He couldn't use a good chance in the 54th minute. He said after the game that he had to chalk it up himself and that it was his aim to "get the ball in". Looking ahead, he announced that this was just the beginning. On December 17, 2016, he made his Bundesliga debut in the game against SC Freiburg.
In January 2017 Reese was loaned to the second division Karlsruher SC until the end of the season, with whom he was relegated to the third division as bottom of the table .
After his return in July, Reese had only 68 minutes played in the 2017/18 season and was awarded to the second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth in January 2018 until the end of the season . There he established himself as a regular player from the start. His first encounter for the shamrocks was after the winter break on matchday 19 at Arminia Bielefeld . On June 27, 2018, his contract with FC Schalke was extended to June 30, 2020, and his loan contract with Fürth was extended for another season. On October 20, 2018, the 10th matchday of the 2018/19 season, he scored his first professional goal in a 3-2 away win against Arminia Bielefeld for Fürth.
At the beginning of preparation for the 2019/20 season , Reese returned to FC Schalke 04. There he was only used in the regional league team in addition to two Bundesliga games, which is why the striker, who still had a contract until June 30, 2020, returned to his hometown to his youth club Holstein Kiel during the winter break . He received a contract with the storks until June 30, 2023.
