Career
society
Janni-Luca Serra was born in Springe , Lower Saxony , and started playing football, initially as a defender, in the G-Jugend of SG Bredenbeck-Holtensen - where he is still an honorary member today. As a 10-year-old he moved to the youth department of Hannover 96 , where he was trained for a total of three years with interruptions due to a change to TSV Havelse . As a 16-year-old he was hired by Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund for their youth academy. After a championship title with the B and two with the A youth, Serra finally made her debut on July 30, 2017 at the home game against Rot-Weiss Essen in the Regionalliga West . With Dortmund's second team, he finally began to establish himself as a striker.
During the winter break of the 2017/18 season, BVB awarded him to the second division club VfL Bochum , where he was able to gain experience in professional football in twelve short appearances . After his return to the pot, he was drawn to the second division season 2018/19 north to last year's promotion relegant Holstein Kiel , where he became the team's most accurate goalscorer with 10 goals this season. Serra kept his place in the storm center under Ole Werner and scored seven goals by the end of February 2020. Due to a thigh injury, however, he fell out until the end of the season, which Kiel finished in 11th place in his absence.
