from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of the members of the Salzburg Landtag (Duchy, 2nd electoral period) lists all the members of the Salzburg Landtag , the Landtag (Austria-Hungary) of the Crown Land of the Duchy of Salzburg of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy , in its 2nd  electoral period .

Overview of the 2nd electoral term 1867–1869

The Salzburg Landtag had already been established in the Austrian Empire with the October diploma in 1860 , when the Crown Land Salzburg received a new statute, but the first session did not take place until April 6, 1861. The justification of Austria-Hungary with the settlement of 1866/67 did not affect the state constitution, the state leadership only insofar as a new legislative period was started.

The opening session took place on February 18, 1867, with the state parliament comprising 26 members. The Landtag consisted of 5 representatives of the large estates , 2 representatives of the Chamber of Commerce , 10 representatives of the cities and markets and 8 representatives of the rural communities , plus the virile vote of the Archbishop of Salzburg . The last session took place on October 30, 1869, and on August 20, 1870, the following parliament was sworn in.

Landtag (and also provincial committee ) chairman was governor Josef Ritter von Weiß (in office March 31, 1861 - September 20, 1872), his deputy the mayor of Salzburg , Heinrich Ritter von Mertens . Superior country chief ( governor , here called country president ) were Karl Graf Coronini-Cronberg (term of office: January 8, 1867 - September 22, 1869), Count Ernst Gourcy-Droitaumont (September 30, 1869 - February 10, 1870) and, most recently, Adolf Fürst Auersperg (in office March 15, 1870 - November 25, 1871); The sovereign was Emperor Franz Joseph I.

The 2nd electoral term was divided into three sessions:

  • I. Session: from February 18, 1867 to February 23, 1867 (4 sessions)
