Munich position |
Paar-Isar region | The Aubinger Lohe is the only major Aufragung in the otherwise gently sloping to the north, composed of würmeiszeitlichen lower terrace gravels Munich Plain . Since the sediments of the Upper Freshwater Molasse towered over the ice age gravel streams here, tertiary clays, marls and sands have remained exposed on the surface, covered by mighty loess coverings. Valuable humid biotopes developed in the former mining sites for the impermeable layers. | 1560000 1300 × 1200 |
