List of International Masters (Awarded 1982)

The list of International Masters of 1982 lists all chess players who received the title of International Masters in 1982 from the World Chess Federation FIDE . A total of 80 players were honored, including no women. 30 of the 80 players later reached the grandmaster title.

Legend

The table contains the following information:

  • Name : gives the name of the player.
  • Country : The country for which the player was eligible to play in 1982.
  • Born : states the player's date of birth.
  • Died : states the player's death date.
  • GM : Indicates the year of award for players who were later promoted to grandmasters.
