List of cultural assets in Grosshöchstetten

The list of cultural assets in Grosshöchstetten contains all objects in the municipality of Grosshöchstetten in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Castle built in 1546 by Niklaus von Wattenwyl, built with the inclusion of the keep of the burned down castle from the 12th century. The residential wing from the 16th to 18th centuries with a baroque facade, the clerk's workshop from 1612 and the prison from 1894 are grouped around the keep. To the south of the castle there is a park that dates back to a French garden laid out in 1725 .

1548 built and rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century rectory . Stately, late-Gothic plastered building under a steep, bent gable roof . The garden side was redesigned in Baroque style around the same time , the covered and glazed arbor over the peristyle in the west dates from the middle of the 19th century. A generous paved forecourt extends in front of the house.

Reformed church building built in 1305 , rebuilt around 1561, 1660 and 1760/61 to a three-sided closed hall church . The longitudinal walls have been preserved from the original Romanesque style . Tower-like roof turret with belfry and clock.
