List of cultural assets in Meikirch

The list of cultural assets in Meikirch contains all objects in the municipality of Meikirch in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects of category A are not shown in the municipality, objects of category B are fully included in the list, objects of category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

The manor house , built around 1790, dominates the hamlet of Grächwil on the edge of the slope. Two-storey, plastered wall construction under a mighty mansard roof with corner pilaster strips made of sandstone . The longitudinal facades have four axes , the narrow facades three axes , but are otherwise completely identical. A large garden belongs to the property.

Originally from the 11th / 12th The church building, which dates back to the 19th century and was built on the foundations of a Roman manor, was given its present-day appearance during renovations in the second half of the 16th century and in the years 1727 to 1729. The most striking feature is the juxtaposition of different style elements. Next to it is the rectory , built in 1605 , a three-storey plastered wall under a bent hipped roof .
