List of cultural assets in Ferenbalm

The list of cultural assets in Ferenbalm contains all objects in the municipality of Ferenbalm in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Farmhouse built in 1703 , today used as a farm museum. The eaves-standing plank frame construction under a shingle-covered full hipped roof is the central main building of the settlement and one of the best preserved examples of the Seeland thatched roof house, with largely original structure. Row window fronts on a mighty threshold with double threshold lock, above richly decorated arbors with geometrical painting on the north and baroque cutouts on the south.

Farmhouse built between 1832 and 1834 . Representative half-timbered building on a sandstone cellar with a mighty, beaver-tail-covered , bent quarter-hipped roof with double fret and rounds on the south-eastern front. The facade has eight window axes with a continuous, baroque curved and profiled lintel and two round windows in the attic.

1805 built, two-storey solid building under a mansard roof with sandstone structures . The ground floor has a basement and contains storage facilities and a separate oven room with two ovens. The apartments on the upper and attic floors are illuminated by portholes , a gable arbor is attached to the southeast side .

The Bern – Neuchâtel railway crosses the Saane on the pillar arch bridge built in 1901 . It consists of a long, curved earth dam after the Gümmenen station, a natural stone viaduct made of pillars and 27 barrel-vaulted arches as well as an integrated iron truss 63 m long above the actual river bed. The length of the impressive artificial structure is 400 m, the mean height above the valley floor 31.5 m.

Half of the property is in the municipal area of ​​Ferenbalm and Mühleberg ( KGS no. 1081 ).

The church building, first mentioned in 1123, was consecrated to the apostles Peter and Paul until the Reformation and was rebuilt in 1657 after a fire. The Romanesque tower, which was given a pointed spire when the new building was built, has been preserved from the previous building . The neoclassical preaching hall was built in 1858/60. Below the church is the rectory built in 1746 , a stately-looking cube wall under a bent hipped roof .
