List of cultural assets in Kirchlindach

The list of cultural assets in Kirchlindach contains all objects in the municipality of Kirchlindach in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of June 29 , 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Housing estate built between 1955 and 1962 by the Atelier 5 architects' association , consisting of 79 single-family houses in two basic types with four variants. Arranged in two broadly terraced rows in a forest clearing above the Aare . With regard to the architecture with the building material concrete, the settlement is ascribed to brutalism , with regard to the type of settlement (configuration with the same building units) to structuralism .

Built in the years 1534/35 covered wooden bridge over the Aare , the oldest get retarded structure of its kind in the canton of Bern. The four brick pillars are made of tuff, nagelfluh and sandstone, while the wooden structure consists mainly of fir wood (important load-bearing elements also made of oak).

Half of the property is located in the municipal area of ​​Kirchlindach and Bern ( KGS no. 638 ).

Arched bridge over the Aare, designed by Jakob Bolliger and built between 1911 and 1913 . Their total length is 234 m at a height of 38 m. It is considered one of the main works of early concrete bridge construction in Switzerland. In the southern section of the bridge, the parabolic main arch spans the river, followed by four smaller arches in the north.

Half of the property is located in the municipal area of ​​Kirchlindach and Bern ( KGS no. 693 ).

Church building dating back to the 12th century, rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries and in 1766 by Niklaus Sprüngli . The current building consists to a large extent from the late Romanesque period; the oldest feature is the arched frieze interrupted by vertical pilaster strips on the north outer wall of the nave . Inside are exposed wall paintings showing biblical scenes.

Country house from the 12th century, the current appearance of which can be traced back to renovations in 1637 and 1730. The core of the complex is a late Romanesque solid stone house in the north corner, later two corner wings with hipped roofs and a vestibule were added. In the basement there is a garden room with a painted beamed ceiling.
