List of cultural assets in Rüeggisberg

The list of cultural assets in Rüeggisberg contains all objects in the municipality of Rüeggisberg in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of June 29 , 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

From reinforced concrete manufactured tied arch bridge over the Schwandbach ditch, built in 1933 by Losinger and Cie. , Bern and Gebr. E. & A. Binggeli, Schwarzenburg, based on plans by the engineer Robert Maillart . The arch has a span of a good 37 m and a varying width: it tapers from the supports to the apex. An elliptical roadway is placed on top of the vault, which is asymmetrical in plan.

Remains of the monastery church, built around 1100, which belonged to the Benedictine monastery, which was secularized in the course of the Reformation in 1541 . The oldest structural representative of the order in the German-speaking area. The transept and a portal with architectural sculptures are partially preserved, the choir with apses only in plan.

Of reinforced concrete made three-hinged arch bridge over the black water , built in 1932 by Losinger and Cie. , Bern and Gebr. E. & A. Binggeli, Schwarzenburg, based on plans by the engineer Robert Maillart . Very light-looking construction without balustrade in the style typical for Maillart. The only wide, flat arch rests on box girders and has a span of 82 m.

Half of the property is located in the municipal area of ​​Rüeggisberg (KGS no. 9775) and Schwarzenburg ( KGS no. 1318 ).

The oldest parts of this Romanesque church building date from the 10th and 11th centuries. Enlargement and construction of the tower foundation in the first half of the 12th century. The church, which received a new tower in 1532, is now presented as a sermon hall after several renovations and is surrounded by the cemetery wall.
