List of songs by Amon Amarth
This is a list of the recorded and released songs by the Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth . Thematically, the band sings mainly songs on Viking themes and Nordic mythology . The order of the titles is sorted alphabetically. It provides information about the author and on which sound carrier the composition can be found for the first time. In addition, some of the titles contain comments on the content and creation as well as other information essential for the individual songs. The list also includes cover versions of songs by other musicians that have been re-recorded and interpreted by Amon Amarth.
Overview
This list includes all the pieces that the band Amon Amarth has released and performed since their formation in 1992. The vast majority of all pieces can be found on the eleven official studio albums Once Sent from the Golden Hall (1996) to Berserker (2019). Live recordings are not included in the list because Amon Amarth did not record any songs on the only live album The Pursuit Of Vikings (Live At Summer Breeze) that were not previously released as a studio version. In some cases, individual tracks on an album have already appeared in advance as singles, in these cases they are assigned to the respective albums. In addition, there are individual cover versions of pieces by other artists that have been reinterpreted and recorded by Amon Amarth, these were usually released as bonus tracks for special editions of their albums or as tributes on corresponding compilations.
Explanations of the list
In the columns of the table, in addition to the title of the piece of music, the names of the authors and the title of the album (or alternative sound carrier) on which the band Amon Amarth first released a version of the title, the duration of the title in minutes and seconds on the named album, the year of first release and notes on the title.
The author or authors of the respective title composed both the music (M) and wrote the lyrics (T) , unless otherwise stated. On the sound carriers and in most of the databases, the band Amon Amarth is usually given as the person responsible for the music and the recordings and Johan Hegg as the author, without listing the individual members of the band at that time.
The table is sorted alphabetically by default according to the title of the piece of music. It can also be sorted in ascending or descending order according to the other columns by clicking the small arrows in the table header.
