The following list represents the largest hydropower plants in Albania . The first larger hydropower plants were built in Albania after the Second World War by the communists of Enver Hoxha with Soviet and Chinese help. After the fall of the dictatorship in 1991, the country opened up both politically and economically. As a result, some power plants have been built through investments by foreign companies, are under construction or are in the planning phase.

The list does not claim to be exhaustive and only includes those power plants with a total output of 20 megawatts .
