List of moons of planets and dwarf planets
This is a list of the known moons of planets and dwarf planets in the solar system; that of asteroids is found in the list of moons of asteroids .
Remarks:
- Current new discoveries have a provisional designation until they are also given a name by the International Astronomical Union .
- Quasi satellites or co- ordinate objects such as 2002 AA29 or 2003 YN107 are not listed .
- The Earth-like planets Mercury and Venus and the dwarf planet Ceres have no natural satellites .
