discovery
S / 2017 J 6 was discovered by astronomer Scott S. Sheppard in 2017 . The moon has not yet been given an official name - the moons of Jupiter are usually female figures from Greek mythology - but is provisionally referred to as S / 2017 J 5 in accordance with the system of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).

S / 2017 J 6 orbits Jupiter with a major semi-axis of approx. 22.5 million kilometers in approx. 683 days. The track has an eccentricity of 0.56. The orbit incline is 155.2 °.
