Honorary citizen and holder of the ring of honor of the city of Pinkafeld
The municipality of Pinkafeld awards the ring of honor and the badge of honor in gold, silver and bronze for great services. Holders of the ring of honor are also honorary citizens:
- Hermann Gmeiner (1919–1986). The founder of the SOS Children's Villages received the Ring of Honor from the city of Pinkafeld on June 13, 1969.
- Karl Kleinrath; the long-time vice mayor Pinkafeld was awarded the ring of honor on December 27, 1985.
- Josef Karl Homma (1891–1966), Pinkafelder Mayor from 1936–1938 and Director of the Burgenland State Archives from 1945–1958, received the Ring of Honor posthumously on March 14, 1966.
- Theodor Kery (1918-2010). The former governor of Burgenland granted the municipality generous financial support for infrastructure, schools, business development and associations, for which he was awarded the ring of honor in 1987.
- Alfred Kranich (1930–1998), member of the Burgenland state parliament and mayor of Pinkafeld, year of awarding: 1973.
- Adolf März, was particularly committed to the expansion of the HTBL Pinkafeld , the year of the award was 1977.
- Reinhold Polster (1922–2009), Deputy Governor of Burgenland, campaigned for the municipality in particular in the area of Pinkafelder infrastructure (water supply from the changeover area, Pinka regulation, expansion of freight routes), year of awarding: 1977.
- Adolf Posch, first freely elected mayor of the post-war period, year of award: 1964.
- Carl Vaugoin (1873–1949), Christian social politician, Army Minister, Austrian Federal Chancellor. In his role as Minister of the Army, Vaugoin supported the establishment of the Pinkafelder Feldjägerkaserne.
