The Long Beach Convention Center is a convention center in Long Beach , California . It opened in 1962. The building complex includes the Long Beach Arena, which was a venue for the 1984 Summer Olympics . The outer wall of the center carries a mural by Robert Wyland of marine animals such as gray whales , which according to the Guinness Book of Records is the largest mural in the world.
