Lucas Höler (born July 10, 1994 in Achim near Bremen ) is a German football player who is mostly used as a striker .

Career

Höler played as a child and as a teenager at FC Hansa Schwanewede , VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck and from 2011 for the A-youth of Blumenthaler SV . In his first year as an active player in the 2013/14 season he was under contract with the northern regional division VfB Oldenburg and scored nine goals in 34 league games.

He was signed in June 2014 by the second team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 , which played in the third division . In his first season he scored ten goals in 26 league games; at the end of the season there was relegation. In the 2015 summer training camp, he trained with the Mainz Bundesliga team. In the first game of the third division season 2015/16 , Höler scored three goals in a 4-0 away win at Holstein Kiel .

For the 2016/17 season , he moved with Julian Derstroff to the second division club SV Sandhausen .

On January 1, 2018, he joined the Bundesliga club SC Freiburg . For SC Freiburg, he scored his first Bundesliga goal on April 28, 2018 (32nd matchday) in the home win against 1. FC Köln to make it 3-2.
