Mohamed Dräger (born June 25, 1996 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German - Tunisian soccer player .
Career
Dräger, the son of a Tunisian and a German, came to SC Freiburg from the Freiburg Police Sports Club in 2009 . With the club's A youth team, he won the DFB junior club cup in 2014 with an 8: 7 win on penalties against FC Schalke 04 , Dräger was one of the successful penalty takers. After he was the most dangerous goal-scoring player of the Freiburg youth team with 15 goals this season in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga 2014/15 , he moved up to the second team in 2015. In the 2016/17 season , the midfielder managed to get promoted back to the Regionalliga Südwest as the Baden-Württemberg league champion . In the summer break of 2017, he traveled to the training camp with the professionals and completed the entire preparation for the season with the professional team. On July 27, 2017, Dräger made his competitive debut in the professional team by substitution in the first leg of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League against NK Domžale , but was subsequently back in the squad for the second team. In the 2017/2018 winter break, he was officially promoted to the professional squad and was also called up for the first time in the Bundesliga at the start of the second half of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt .
At the end of June 2018, Dräger was awarded to the second division SC Paderborn 07 for the next two seasons . On matchday 34 of the 2020/21 season, he scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 3-2 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt .
In 2013, Dräger took part in the U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates with the Tunisian U-17 team and played in all four of his team's tournament games (three times as a substitute, goal in the starting eleven in a 2-1 draw against Japan) , when the team lost 3-1 in the round of 16 against Argentina. As part of a friendly against Morocco , Dräger made his debut in the Tunisian national team under coach Maher Kanzari in November 2018 .
