Luis Resto (musician)
Luis Edgardo Resto (born July 22, 1961 ) is an American musician , songwriter , producer and keyboardist of Puerto Rican descent. He is from Detroit and is best known for his collaboration with hip-hop artist Eminem .
Career
Resto has been working with the rapper Eminem since 2001 . One of the first songs to be produced together, Lose Yourself , was extremely successful and received the award for Best Film Song ( 8 Mile ) at the 2003 Academy Awards . Since then emerged many more produced in cooperation with and written songs, especially for Eminem's album Encore , Tupac Shakur's recordings Loyal to the Game , Obie Trice Release Second Round's on Me and Bad Meets Evil's EP Hell: The Sequel .
Resto usually plays the keyboard tracks on the instrumentals and is listed as an additional producer. Occasionally he is also responsible for the percussion or other sound generation by sampler . He is also a frequent co-author of the songwriting.
On May 18, 2010 Resto released his first EP Combo de Momento and on June 1, 2012 the album One Small Light followed .
