Lukasrödermühle

Lukasrödermühle is a district of the large district town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Tauber . A communal road leads to the Herrenmühle (0.2 km east) or the Hansrödermühle (0.4 km west).

history

It was first mentioned by name in 1281/1325 as "Hasmühle" in the arbitration book of the city of Rothenburg and in 1358 in a sales deed. In 1511 the mill came into the possession of Ludwig Röder and was therefore called "Rödermühle", and in 1513 finally "Lutz Rödermühle". The mill was a fiefdom of the Teutonic Order .

With the community edict (early 19th century), the place was assigned to the tax district and the municipal community of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

The Lukasrödermühle was originally a grain and oil mill. Despite the modernization that took place in 1950, the mill operation was stopped after the death of the last miller. In 2009 the mill was renovated and is now used to generate electricity.
