Leuzenbronn is a district of the large district town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .
geography
The parish village is located on the Dorfgraben and Langwiesengraben, which are both right tributaries of the Vorbach , which in turn is a left tributary of the Tauber . The place is surrounded by fields.
Communal roads lead to Rothenburg (3 km east), Schnepfendorf (1.4 km south), Heiligenbronn (2.2 km west), Hemmendorf (1 km north), to the L 1020 state road near Schwarzenbronn (2 km north) and to the L 1005 (4 km to the west).
history
The St. Andrew's Church already existed in the village in the 9th century. This makes it the oldest church in the Rothenburg deanery . In 1714 the parish had 1124 members, 1776 935 and currently 240 parish members.
In 1801 there were 28 households, all of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg .
With the community edict (early 19th century), the tax district Leuzenbronn was formed, to which the places Brundorf , Hemmendorf , Reusch , Schnepfendorf and Vorbach belonged. A little later, the rural community of Leuzendorf was formed, to which the towns of Brundorf, Burgstall , Hemmendorf, Hollermühle , Schnepfendorf, Vorbach and Ziegelhütte belonged. It was subordinate to the regional court of Rothenburg in administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 11,189 km². In the course of the regional reform , this was incorporated into Rothenburg on July 1, 1972.
