Holdmühle is a district of the large district town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Tauber and is now house no. 6 of the Taubertalweg, which joins Nördlinger Straße (= State Road 2419 ) to the east , which leads to Rothenburg (1.5 km north) and Lohr (4 km south). From this, the Gebsattler Straße (= St 2249 ) branches off opposite the Haltmühle , which leads to Gebsattel (1.2 km southeast).

history

Under the leadership of the French general Ezéchiel de Mélac , French murderers set fire to the mill in November 1688 and caused considerable damage.

With the community edict (early 19th century), the place was assigned to the tax district and the municipal community of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
