The 2009/10 season of the MOL League was the second regular staging of the highest joint ice hockey division in Romania and Hungary . Champions of the league were the Budapest Stars for the first time , while Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák was the best team in the main round.

Each team played against each opponent four times, making the total number of games per team in the main round 24. The first four teams qualified for the playoffs, which were played in the best-of-five mode.
Only eight teams take part in the second season of the league. The winner of the premiere season ( HC Csíkszereda ) broke up for financial reasons. Also for financial reasons, Steaua Bucharest and the CS Progym Gheorgheni are not participating in the MOL League. The SCM 68 Fenestela Brașov was new to the league . HC Lučenec from southern Slovakia originally wanted to take part in the competition, but did not get approval from the Slovak Ice Hockey Association. Alba Volán Székesfehérvár , whose professional team takes part in the Austrian EBEL , did without a farm team in the MOL league this season.
