Macron is an Italian sporting goods manufacturer and one of the largest suppliers of European football.

Macron was founded in 1971 as an authorized distributor of baseball equipment for American manufacturers. Macron has been an equipment supplier in professional football since 2001. The first contractual partner was FC Bologna . From 2005, it began to spread across Europe. Today Macron operates 145 stores in 20 countries for the sale of its products. In addition, Macron items are sold in over 800 independent stores. The sports equipped include soccer, handball, basketball, volleyball, rugby and baseball.

From 2014 to 2018 Macron was the name sponsor of the Bolton Wanderers Stadium . In the football season 2016/17 Macron was the main supplier of the Serie A . The clubs FC Bologna, Cagliari Calcio , SPAL Ferrara and Lazio Rome were under contract . In 2017, Macron won a UEFA tender to equip smaller national football associations as part of the “Kit Assistance Scheme”, including associations from Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, San Marino and Cyprus. In May 2019, Macron and UEFA signed a three-year contract until 2022 to equip all referees in UEFA competitions. In this position, Macron will replace the supplier Adidas .
