The Praxis-Hochschule (spelling: praxisHochschule, abbreviated pHfG ) is a private , state-recognized college in the field of social and health care in Cologne . She belongs to the Klett Group .

history

On April 7, 2014, the University of Applied Sciences was granted state recognition by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in accordance with Section 72 Paragraphs 1 and 2 HG. In 2016 she took over the private Mathias University of Applied Sciences Rheine .

Following a shareholders' resolution, the praxisHochschule will be closed when it expires and has therefore not been accepting any new students into the 1st semester since 2018. The courses offered are taken over by the European University of Applied Sciences .

The university of applied sciences currently offers six courses of study accredited by the accreditation agency in the field of health and social affairs (AHPGS) at two locations:

Cologne location

All courses of study at the university are based on the principle of problem-oriented or problem-based learning . All students have to gain practical experience parallel to their studies, following the model of the dual universities .
