Maxence Lacroix (born April 6, 2000 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges ) is a French football player . The central defender is under contract with Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg in Germany and is a young international player.

Career

Maxence Lacroix, whose roots lie in Guadeloupe , was born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges in the Paris metropolitan area and initially played for clubs in the south of France before he switched to the football school of FC Sochaux at the age of 15 . On December 22, 2018, at the age of 18, he made his debut in the professional team at his club's second division match against FC Lorient , which ended with a 1-0 home win for FC Sochaux. The FC Sochaux played against relegation until the end of the season and managed to stay in the league with 16th place. Lacroix came to seven missions, all over the entire season. In the following season he was used more regularly and moved with his club in the middle of the table, at the end of the season - after the season was canceled due to the Corona crisis - the 12th place in the table was occupied.
