Daniel Ginczek (born April 13, 1991 in Arnsberg ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with VfL Wolfsburg .
Career
societies
Ginczek moved to Borussia Dortmund's youth team in 2007 and ended the 2007/08 season there with 26 goals from 25 games as the top scorer in the B-Junior Bundesliga . In the following season he rose to the third division with Borussia Dortmund's second team . He made his professional football debut on July 28, 2009 in the 0-0 draw of Dortmund II against Eintracht Braunschweig .
In the 2011/12 season , Ginczek, who had a contract with Borussia Dortmund that was valid until 2014, was loaned to VfL Bochum for one year . In the 2012/13 season he again played on loan at FC St. Pauli , where he scored 18 goals in 31 games.
For the 2013/14 season Ginczek moved to 1. FC Nürnberg . He signed a contract with the Franks until June 30, 2016. On his Bundesliga debut on August 10, 2013 against TSG Hoffenheim , he made it 2-2, marking his first Bundesliga goal for FCN. On February 8, 2014, he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee in the home game against FC Bayern Munich without outside interference and was out for nine months.
In the summer break of 2014, Ginczek signed a contract with VfB Stuttgart until June 30, 2018, although his contract with 1. FC Nürnberg had not yet expired. This was made possible by an exit clause in which he could leave Nuremberg for a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros in the event of relegation. On March 21, 2015 he scored his first two Bundesliga goals for VfB Stuttgart against Eintracht Frankfurt within around two minutes.
Due to an injury in the cervical area that he sustained in early September 2015, he was initially out until the end of the year. Shortly after his return to training, the attacker tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee in February 2016. Ginczek extended his contract with VfB Stuttgart in May 2016 to the end of June 2020.
Ginczek moved to VfL Wolfsburg for the 2018/19 season . He signed a contract running until June 30, 2022.
