Career start in Vienna-Favoriten

Pervan began his active career as a soccer goalkeeper in 1997 in the junior division of the Favoritner AC in Vienna's 10th district . From there he finally moved in 2000 as a cooperation player to the SC Team Wiener Linien , which at that time was still run under the name SC Gaswerk / Tram . After the almost one-year cooperation period, Pervan was signed by the club in 2001 and played as a regular in the club's youth teams in the following years. After the dissolution of the club, which is also based in Favoriten, and the re-establishment as SC Team Wiener Linien , the Croatian-Austrian dual citizen remained loyal to the club. In 2005, however, he spent half a season after Schwechat to there in the Regional League East gambling SV Schwechat . However, he was never used there in a league game of the first combat team and was mainly used in the youth field.

After the club was only just past relegation to the Lower Austrian regional league at the end of the 2004/05 season, ranking 14th out of 16 , the then 17-year-old signed a fixed contract with the Schwechatern for the 2005/06 season . The young dual citizen only gained experience in the youth and in the second deeply sub-class playing team, but could not play a single regional league game in the 2005/06 season. When the team again barely managed to stay in the league in RL Ost, Pervan's first two appearances in the third-highest division in Austria followed in the 2006/07 season . He was used on October 27, 2006 in a 2-1 home win over SC Zwettl over the full game. Another 90-minute mission finally followed on March 16 in the 1: 4 home defeat against ASK Schwadorf . At the end of the season, the regional league team again only narrowly secured relegation in Austria's third division. After a rather less successful time in Lower Austria, the 1.94 m tall goalkeeper made a promising move before the 2007/08 season .

Promising move to Vorarlberg

This time he moved to the other end of Austria, to Vorarlberg , where he signed a contract with FC Lustenau 07 with play in the First League , the second highest division in Austrian football. When he replaced Hubert Auer in the Lustenauer's goal from the 8th round , he quickly advanced to the team's regular goalkeeper with the exception of five games between the 20th and 24th round, where he was replaced by Marco Knaller . In addition to his professional appearances, Pervan was also used sporadically in the fourth-class Vorarlberger Landesliga . After he was still on the bench in the second round of the season against FC Viktoria 62 Bregenz , he made his team debut on August 18, 2007 in the third round of the championship when he won the 2-0 home win over FC Schwarzenberg over the entire season guarded the gate of the Lustenau amateurs. Overall, he completed four league games for the amateurs this season, where he was used more often at the beginning of the season and was only used in the 17th championship round for the fourth time.

In the 2008/09 season , Pervan had to give way to the up-and-coming newcomer from Lustenau, Christian Dobnik , and only acted as a substitute goalkeeper for the professional team behind Dobnik , who was over a year older. At the same time, Pervan was also used in the Vorarlberger Landesliga, where he made eight championship appearances throughout the season and was once again on the reserve bench as a substitute goal. He also played a game in the 2008/09 ÖFB Cup , his first appearance in this competition. Since Dobnik, who was voted fifth among the best goalkeepers of the past season at the end of the 2009/10 season , again performed so well and no one could dispute his rank as 1-goalie, the young Pervan only had two appearances in the ÖFB- Cup 2009/10 . Things didn't go particularly well for him in the national league team either; He was only able to show five appearances before the winter break. Pervan, who was considered quite unsportsmanlike in his Bundesliga time and was often cautioned with the yellow card , had a negative experience in the second championship round when he was first cautioned with the yellow card within a minute and only seconds later for unsporting behavior Yellow-red of the place was sent.

Flying visit to Pasching

During the winter break of 2009/10, a change in the rarely used pervan became noticeable. Shortly before the transfer deadline, the now 22-year-old transferred to Upper Austria to FC Pasching , which has its game operations in the third-class regional league middle. But like last time in Lustenau, he was unable to assert himself in Pasching and only made ten league appearances in the RL Mitte, one of three parallel seasons. But his stay with the Austrian third division club should not last long. Already in the summer break before the 2010/11 season , the Austrian Bundesliga club LASK brought him into the team on a trial basis, where he was supposed to prove himself in test and preparation games.

Transfer to the Bundesliga

Since he was able to recommend himself to the Linzers during the training camp , he was finally accepted on July 5, 2010 by the Upper Austrian capital club as a substitute goalkeeper for the professional team. After Silvije Čavlina left for SK Sturm Graz , Pervan was number 2 behind Thomas Mandl in the Linz case. In addition, Pervan was also at the LASK Juniors , under coach Toni Polster .

Since the 2011/12 season, Pervan was LASK's regular goalkeeper, initially in the regional league. In the same year he won the championship with LASK, a year later he was promoted to the 2nd division with LASK and in 2017 to the Bundesliga.

Move to Germany

For the 2018/19 season, Pervan moved to Germany for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021. He played his first competitive game for Wolfsburg on September 1, 2018, the second day of the Bundesliga, when he took on goalkeeper Koen Casteels in the 3-1 away win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

National team

In September 2017 Pervan was appointed to the squad of the Austrian national team for the first time . He made his debut for this in November 2019 when he was in the starting XI in the European Championship qualifier against Latvia .
