Luca Horn (born December 19, 1998 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German football player . He can be used aggressively as well as defensively and is under contract with VfL Wolfsburg .

Career

Horn was trained at SC Frisia in his hometown Wilhelmshaven until he was C-youth and then accepted into the Werder Bremen youth training center . At a viewing tournament in Lastrup , the club's young scouts caught attention. Both in the B as well as in the A youth, the Lower Saxony played with Werder in the respective junior national leagues and was used in various offensive and defensive positions. In 2016, Horn reached the semi-finals of the DFB Junior Club Cup and the final round of the championship with the U19s . In his last season in Bremen, he led the team onto the field as team captain and was able to collect 12 scorer points.

After completing his football training, Horn signed a two-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg , where he then played in the regional league team. Due to a pubic bone inflammation , the Lower Saxony was only able to play for the team for the first time from November 2018 and by the end of the season had six missions over the full season in the left midfield. As northern champions, two unsuccessful games against FC Bayern Munich II were played for promotion to the third division , but Horn, whose contract was extended until June 2021, was not in the squad. Until the 2019/20 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the midfielder was able to establish himself under coach Rüdiger Ziehl and only missed one game; in the promotion race, however, you had to admit defeat to VfB Lübeck . Then he was in the squad of the Bundesliga team , which was back in the game, and made his debut for them on the last day of the game in the 0: 4 against champions Bayern Munich .
