Michal Vondrka (born May 17, 1982 in České Budějovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech extra league since May 2018 .
Career
Michal Vondrka began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of HC Ceske Budejovice , he for the first team from 2000 to 2003 in the Extraliga was active. The winger also began the 2003/04 season at his home club, before moving to HC Slavia Prague after eight appearances in the Extraliga , where he subsequently became one of the leading players. In the 2006/07 season he was also loaned to league rivals HC Energie Karlovy Vary for eleven games . With Slavia Prague he won the Czech championship title in the 2007/08 season . As reigning champion, he took part with Slavia in the 2008/09 season at European level in the Champions Hockey League , but failed with his team in the group stage at the eventual title winner ZSC Lions from Switzerland.
The 2011/12 season began Vondrka with Karpat Oulu in the Finnish SM-liiga . For Kärpät he scored three goals and three assists in 21 games each in the top Finnish league and was on the ice for the team in six European Trophy games . In mid-November 2011 he returned to HC Slavia Prague, with whom he only achieved relegation at the end of the season in the relegation round.
In July 2012 Vondrka was signed by HC Slovan Bratislava from the Continental Hockey League and completed 139 KHL games for this until January 2015, in which he scored 28 goals and prepared another 35. It was then given to HC Sparta Prague .
Between 2015 and 2018 Vondrka played for the Piráti Chomutov and was doing the best players in the league, resulting in the election of the 2017 Player of the Year the Extraliga led.
International
For the Czech Republic , Vondrka only took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2002 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2012 World Cup , where he and his team won the bronze medal, and in 2014 . He also competed in the Czech Republic in 2009, 2011 and 2012 on the Euro Hockey Tour .
