The Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Services ( MYNSS ; English Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Services ) is the sports - and youth ministry Namibia . It is also responsible for national services. Until March 2015 it also included the culture department.

The ministry was headed by Minister Jerry Ekandjo from December 4, 2012 to February 1, 2018 . Erastus Uutoni had headed the ministry since February 8, 2018 , before Agnes Tjongarero became minister on March 23, 2020 .

history

The ministry in its current composition of areas of responsibility emerged in 1995 from the ministry for basic education, sport and culture . From 1990 to 1991 this was known as the Ministry of Basic Education and Culture . In 2015, the culture department was assigned to the Ministry of Basic Education.
