In addition to Kapellen and Rheinkamp, Moers (district) describes one of three districts of Moers in the Wesel district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is identical to the "old" town of Moers, which existed from April 1, 1906 to December 31, 1974. Today's district or residential area Moers-Mitte is almost identical in its boundaries to the old town of Moers and the city of Moers before April 1, 1906.
