1982 NBA Draft
The 1982 NBA Draft took place on June 29th at Madison Square Garden in New York . In the first place, the reigning champions chose the Los Angeles Lakers . The Lakers acquired the draft right from the Cleveland Cavaliers .
James Worthy and Dominique Wilkins had the most successful careers and were inducted into the Hall of Fame when they retired. Other notable players are Terry Cummings , Fat Lever , Sleepy Floyd , Ricky Pierce and Mark Eaton , who is considered lucky with the 72nd pick.
