NGC 2347 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Camelopardalis in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 202 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 2179 it forms the isolated galaxy pair KPG 128 and together they are members of the eight galaxies NGC 2347 group ( LGG 140 ).
The type II supernova SN 2001ee was observed here.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on November 1, 1788 .
