NGC 2330 = IC 457 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation of the lynx in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 217 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2332 , IC 458 , IC 459 , IC 460 .
The object was discovered by Bindon Blood Stoney on January 2, 1851 .
