IC 476 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 210 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2449 , NGC 2450 , IC 474 , IC 2205 .

The object was discovered on January 30, 1892 by Stéphane Javelle .
