IC 476 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 210 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2449 , NGC 2450 , IC 474 , IC 2205 .
The object was discovered on January 30, 1892 by Stéphane Javelle .
