IC 484 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa with an active galaxy core in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 360 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2490 , NGC 2492 , IC 485 , IC 486 .
The object was discovered on March 6, 1891 by Rudolf Ferdinand Spitaler .
