IC 484 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa with an active galaxy core in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 360 ​​million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2490 , NGC 2492 , IC 485 , IC 486 .

The object was discovered on March 6, 1891 by Rudolf Ferdinand Spitaler .
