IC 482 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 354 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 2480 , NGC 2481 , NGC 2498 , IC 2218 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 2, 1892 .
