NGC 5756 is a 12.3 likes bright barred spiral galaxy with pronounced emission lines from the Hubble type SBBC in the constellation Libra and about 94 million light-years from the Milky Way center.

It was discovered on June 5, 1836 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflector telescope, who noted "pB, pmE, gpmbM, 80 arcseconds".
