NGC 5766 is a 13.4 likes bright barred spiral galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBBC in the constellation Libra on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 148 million light years from the Milky Way and about 350,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Ormond Stone on July 8, 1885 .
