NGC 5750 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB (r) 0 / a in the constellation Virgo . the galaxy is about 75 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years across . It is listed as a Seyfert II galaxy , a type of very bright galaxies that belong to the group of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN).
The object was discovered on April 11, 1787 by William Herschel .
